Better in Person?

You know how sometimes you see yourself photographed and think, "hey, I look WAAAAYY better in person"! Well, not to be conceited, but that is how I feel today.   I've gotten quite a few compliments too so I don't think it's just me! :-) My outfit didn't quite translate to the photo very well. Plus, I can never quite figure out how to pose to show my shoes in a maxi without just lifting the skirt up. Today I just took s separate foot shot to capture my multi-blue wedges. Anyway,  I'm enjoying my easy breezy maxi dress with fun, bright, summer-y blue ombre color! It makes me think of the Caribbean!Oh how I long for a beach bum vacay! Happy summer all!

Weekend Update!

I am loving shorts this season (as I do virtually every summer since I was 3)! However, this year I feel like I'm enjoying making actual, grown-up outfits out of them. I've always loved shorts, but have worn them more in a summer casual way. My two night outfits this past weekend included shorts and I think I'm finding my summer uniform! Dresses can sometimes feel too cutesy or too dressy and I really can't stand wearing jeans very often in this heat. I think the shoes and the jewels really make a shorts outfit go one way or another. What do you think? Here goes...

Quick update

Hi all! Here is today's ensemble! I missed a good one yesterday. I only worked a (very busy) half day and then picked up my lovey from the airport (Vegas weekend with the boys). I was not too focused on photographing my ensemble, though I liked it very much. Oops! I'll capture it next time! So, here it today's. Hope everyone's week is going smashingly well!! :-)

Yikes!!

This has been a week of weeks! Lots of health fairs so not much fashion...hence my laziness in posting! :-(  I'm adding a few weekend ensembles as well as today's. I still owe you yesterday's which is living on a camera at home currently. I've really failed as a consistent blogger this week- sorry! Oh well...pick your battles, right? In addition to this being a crazy work week, we have a hole in our roof so I've been home a bit more than usual waiting for roof miracle workers to fix it. As of now, we have a large tarp covering half of our roof- somewhere under there the sneaky culprit lurks. They haven't found it yet. Joy. We are getting all the rain from Trop Storm Andrea right now. Hopefully I don't go home to inches of water. Who made us think that being adults was such fun?!  Anyway, here goes...first today then 2 weekend outfits! Happy weekend all!
